Ryan is pursuing an ambitious offshore racing campaign over the next several years. His goal of racing in the 2009 Mini Transat will require major support from corporate sponsors which he is actively pursuing. Over the next two and a half years leading up to the Mini Transat, Ryan will be training an racing extensively on his 21’ Mini 650, a scaled down version of the Open 50 Artforms. Ryan purchased Mini 252 in the summer of 2006. He will also be working with Kip Stone and sailing onboard Artforms on a regular basis. The first major Mini race on Ryan's calendar is the 2007 Bermuda 1-2 which starts in June in Newport, RI.
